Some poses in my work were inspired by my own photos of me with my mom. I cannot thank my mother enough for making that decision to have me pictured as a baby and to take me to a local studio in the city of Jamnagar. It was very tough for her as she had to hide me sitting in a tuk-tuk on the way to the studio because she was not allowed to photograph me. But she was determined. Its only because of her I have got these image of me to cherish with the world :)

"He did not sleep for the first 8 hours after birth!" said baby Kanishk's dad; "I was tired after his delivery but I had to stay awake with him, waiting when he would fall asleep so that I could rest, the elders were asking me to sleep but my baby was WIDE awake for 8 hours...everyone in the hospital was surprised and had never seen a baby do this" ... the mom chuckles...

I photographed this four-month-old baby boy in his home with Kerela's theme and outfit which his mom has arranged.  It was absolute pleasure and fun doing this session as traditional Indian themed shoots are always unique and special.

 I photographed this little baby boy of 4 months in his home in Mumbai. Generally, newborn photoshoots are best done in the first 15-20 days after birth but due to some situation if parents are not able to book earlier, then this kind of fine art home shoot is advisable.
